MULTI-1&2U/RS232, 422, 485

Multi-1, 2/USB Series enables the connection of 1 or 2 asynchronous serial devices such as terminals, modems, printers, and scanners to make a PC an economical but a powerful multi-user and multi-device system. TXD and RXD LEDs are included for the displays of data transmission. Transmission speed rises up to 921.6Kbps per port, with the help of USB 1.1 specifications. Another remarkable feature is in its specialized design which converts the RI pin(pin #9) of DB-9 connector into a power of external power adapter, providing power to the external devices as needed.

This feature can be fully exploited when connecting small peripherals such as cash registers, barcode readers, or receipt printers to systems like PC POS.

Multi-1, 2/USB Series is composed of RS232, RS422, and RS485 interface models. Users can select one of them according to their environments. It supports a communication speed of up to 921.6Kbps and guarantees highperformance.

With auto-toggling signal for RS422/485 provided on-chip control, it makes the line drivers control signals of input/output precise and realizes a stable communication. All the RS232/422/485 transceivers have 15KV ESD protection, and therefore protects the product from electrical shock.
